Transition Logo

The MS Office 2007 Suite has been loaded in the university's academic labs, classrooms and in some department's labs. To help Mason faculty, staff and students with the transition of the new verision, we have created a crosswalk that explains the functions from Office 2003 in Office 2007.

The 2007 Microsoft Office suite provides powerful new features, new tools and a new user interface. The look and feel is VERY different from the earlier versions. To see what workshops of MS Office 2007 are available go to tops.doit.gmu.edu

NOTE: Classroom and lab computers will save MS Office 2007 documents in the MS Office 2007 format starting Fall 2008 semester (previously had been saved as MS Office 2003 documents). If you have not upgraded your office computer to MS Office 2007 yet, ITU recommends that faculty contact the ITU Support Center at 3-8870 to request the upgrade from MS Office 2003 to MS Office 2007. (Until you have upgraded, you may wish to install the "compatability pack" which will allow you to open, edit, and save files using the new file formats). Faculty can purchase a "home use" copy of MS Office 2007 at Patriot Computers 3-4100 for $15.
